Vancouver, Washington to Victoria, BC
We woke up this morning to rain falling on the tent.
Welcome back to the Pacific Northwet... oops, Freudian slip there... Pacific Northwest.
The time of year doesn't seem to matter - it's raining, has just stopped raining or is about to rain...
Packing up in the rain... well it's motivation to be quick.
We elected for a sit-down restaurant hot breakfast.
This didn't go so well for Rebecca. Soon after we were off the bikes with Rebecca having an upset stomach. We spent some time in a gas station bathroom so she could talk to Ralph, the great white porcelain god. Actually the garbage can was the more appealing option.
And we weren't even in Yakima.
In time she felt much better.
The clouds are dragging on the ground
We went to the Mount Saint Helens visitor and were hoping to go see the volcano but the 'volcano cam' in the visitor center showed white. The mountain was completely cloud covered. The eruption video was very impressive and would have to suffice.

Port Angeles Washington waiting our turn to board the Coho for Victoria.
A broad spectrum of riders have assembled to sail to Victoria
This fellow was used to boat travel - he's from Germany and has been travelling around the North American Continent for a while. His bike is a Honda Africa Twin - not available here.
Hmmm... we could have used that a few days ago. Or a GS.... or maybe even a KLR :-)
Rebecca on the forward deck of the Coho bound for Canada
Washington coast in the back-ground
Rebecca's stomach felt the most at ease when she was up on deck so most her voyage was here.

Harbour Air bound for Vancouver harbour
Victoria harbour has a wide variety of vessels present; from luxurious cruise ships...
to tall-masted sailing ships a paddle wheeler....
to the little harbour tour boat...
to the harbour taxi...
to Harbour Air's Turbine Otter and Twin Otters on floats.
Victoria harbour is not large but offers plenty to see.
